The Compass line of tires is designed to offer optimum performance above all. They incorporate the results of eight years of tire testing by Bicycle Quarterly magazine. Their supple casing is key to making these tires roll faster than most. It also absorbs vibrations and shocks better, making these tires supremely comfortable. The tire tread was designed to offer optimum cornering adhesion and precision, both in wet and dry conditions.
Despite this focus on performance, Compass tires are sensible everyday tires. The tread is 3 mm thick to last many miles, unlike thinner high-performance tires which are best treated as “event” tires. The extralight casing not only reduces the tire’s weight, but is also more supple, thus increasing the tire’s speed and comfort even further.
Cayuse Pass (1425 m/4675 ft) is the last pass during the legendary Ride Around Mount Rainier in One Day (RAMROD). It is a long climb that offers beautiful vistas of Mount Rainier and the snow-covered peaks of the Cascades. Most participants in RAMROD ride racing bikes, and a 26 mm tire is the largest they can fit on their bikes. The Compass Cayuse Pass tires roll fast enough to stay with your group, and their superior comfort means you won't suffer even toward the end of this 156-mile ride.
Available with extralight casing and brown or black sidewalls.
Ultra-light, ultra-supple casing. Tan or black sidewalls.
